The UNIA-ACL Government Announces: |
21st Century Nationalism For more than a decade, the Nationalism and Pan Africanist movement has been all but dormant with regards to advancing any call in this direction. Oh yes, there has been much talk still about who is and who is not a Nationalist/Pan Africanist; but I for one have not seen, and certainly have not felt anything tangible being done about repatriation and our rights to Self-Determination. True, a great deal of work is being done around reparations; but I won’t be satisfied being just another “nigger with money” and no true freedom. I say it’s time for our people to come out of legal slavery. I say it’s time to put Nationalism and Pan Africanism BLACK on the front burner where it belongs. Well, I say to you, that it is a huge pleasure of mine to be able to inform you that the UNIA-ACL has a legal program that will allow us to come out of legal slavery. It is also with great pride that I announce that the UNIA-ACL has the means to put Nationalism and Pan Africanism as a paramount force to be reckoned with. The UNIA-ACL has that program that will take us well into the 21st Century as we should be. Continued Here |

What's the News from Belize with the Isaiah Morter Estate? |
April 18, 1922 Fellow men of the Negro Race, Greeting: For four and a half years the Universal Negro Improvement Association has been advocating the cause of Africa for the Africans -- that is, that the Negro peoples of the world should concentrate upon the object of building up for themselves a great nation in Africa. When we started our propaganda toward this end several of the so-called intellectual Negroes who have been bamboozling the race for over half a century said that we were crazy, that the Negro peoples of the western world were not interested in Africa and could not live in Africa. One editor and leader went so far as to say at his Pan-African Congress that American Negroes could not live in Africa, because the climate was too hot... Continued Here |

first Black millionaire of Belize who willed over 500 acres of land to the UNIA back in the 1920's. The will was contested and the Supreme Court of London (Privy Council) ruled in the favor of the UNIA. Due to the legal problems of the Right Excellent Marcus Mosiah Garvey the final possession of this land was not finalized. Many people have tried to claim the estate but were all unsuccessful until in May 2006, under the leadership of the late Honorable Redman Battle, we began efforts to restore our claim. In October 2008, a UNIA delegation lead by Counsel General Faruq Muhammad and President General Senghor Baye finalized ALL legal and factual concerns the government has had about our identity and legality. As of this writing the government is processing the necessary paperwork for us to obtain the deed. Based upon this success we are now working to return to Belize and began plans for development. As the land has not been occupied in over 80 years we are in need of appraisal, land survey, and total impact study. However, practicing the Race First philosophy of Garveyism, we want to offer investment and development opportunities to fellow Garveyites and supporters before we pursue any other options.... Many thanks for your review and consideration of this message and we look forward to working with you towards Afrikan Redemption. Please feel free to share with other potential investors and business developers you feel will be interested in joining us in Belize. Please contact Senghor Baye at senghorb@hotmail.com if you have questions regarding the Belize Mission. |
